Change In Uniform For Odisha Fire Service Personnel

Bhubaneswar: A change of uniform for the Odisha Fire Service personnel was announced by the State Home Department on Monday. The new uniform will be worn during non-fire operational duties.

The uniform will have a yellow coloured t-shirt with the word ‘Fire’ in the fluorescent red colour on the backside. For lowers, red colour track pants with yellow stripes on the outer length with words ‘Odisha Fire Service’ written on the back and along the length of the trousers.

As per the official communiqué, the new uniform would be worn during non-fire operational duties such as disaster response, special service calls, flood and rescue duties, etc. The change will be applicable for all officers across all ranks of up to Assistant Fire Officer. They will be provided with two uniforms a year.
