Cuttack: The steps taken by the Central Government in response to the Pulwama-attack is eyewash. The people who pelt stones at the army should be dealth with an iron hand, Hindustan Nirmal Dal Founder Praveen Togadia said.

Addressing media personnel here on Sunday, Togadia said that his party would build Ram temple in Ayodhya, give recognition to soldiers, raise income of farmers and give jobs to youth.

"I want to build the country. My party would prioritise education and healthcare and make it affordable," said Togadia.

Taking on the Centre, Togadia said that the Government should have immediately stopped water flowing from Ravi, Beas and Sutlej rivers to Pakistan and scrap Article 370.

"The most-favoured nation status to Pakistan should have been ceased five years back. Were we waiting for a Pulwama kind of attack to take this step," questioned Togadia.

The firebrand Hindu nationalist said that his party would contest the 2019 elections both at the Centre and State Assemblies.
