Bhubaneswar: Soumya Sambhabi of SAI International School, Bhubaneswar has emerged topper in the Bhubaneswar region in this year’s annual XII examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results of which were announced on Sunday.

Soumya, originally from Bihar is staying at Nalco Nagar in Angul, has secured 98.4 per cent.

Her father, Rajeev Ranjan, is a Nalco employee.

“I am very happy and giving credit to all including school teachers, principal and of course mu parents,” said the elated Soumya.

When asked what to do next, the topper said she will pursue B.com and then Charted Accountancy and MBA.

Terming her daughter a moody girl, Rajeev said he will support whatever his daughter chose to pursue in future.

As many as 58,935 students from Bhubaneswar zone have appeared for CBSE 12 exam this year.

SAI International School has secured a 100 per cent first division of its total 495 students who had appeared the Class XII exam this year.

Worth mentioning, students from this school have been consistently becoming topping the Bhubaneswar Zone year after year.

The results can be accessed online at www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in.

Earlier, the CBSE requested students and parents not to visit the Board office for collection of results as they would only be available online.
