Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar Appreciates His Odia Fans’ Celebrations For The Movie 2.0

03 December 2018

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Akkians, a fan club like no other, idolizes Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar and celebrates each of his movie’s release like an important life event. The members of the club draw inspiration from Khiladi’s personality and even consider him their fitness icon.

Akki’s every movie release means that the 90-odd member fan club reaches in time for the first day first show along with life-size posters, banners and a sumptuous cake. This time, ritual was followed for the magnum opus ‘2.0’.

“When ur star is in the costliest film of the country then the celebration needs to be the best. It’s a festival time for all Akkians,” tweeted Odisha Akkians after a grand celebration at the Maharaja Hall in Bhubaneswar, to which Khiladi Kumar lovingly replied, “Appreciate all your love and efforts thank you.”

Reportedly, the group was formed by one Sidhant Swain in 2016 and the group has made it a point to visit an orphanage and spend time with the kids on Akki’s birthday every year. Not only this, the youngsters also join hands in sweeping and cleaning the streets of the capital city during every Swachch Bharat programme.

Soon after Akki’s reply to their 2.0 celebration, without wasting any time, Odisha Akkians took this opportunity to invite Akshay Kumar for Hockey World Cup’s opening ceremony. “Thanks @akshaykumar sir for again replying to our fan club. U never disappoint ur fans. We @OdishaAkkians luv u so much. Just 1 reqst that plz visit Odisha once and no better date than Hockey World Cup final on Dec 16th. Just a small invitation sir. Eagerly waiting for ur arrival,” wrote the Akki fan club. Now, only time can tell if this wish can come true or not.
