Odisha: Body Of Missing Youth Dragged By Crocodile Recovered

Kendrapara: The body of Sanjay Pradhan was recovered on Monday morning, a day after he went missing on being dragged by a crocodile into waters while taking bath in Brahmani river at Mandapada village in Pattamundai.

Locals spotted the body with injury marks from bank of the river at Harijan Sahi this morning.

Eye-witnesses informed that Sanjay Pradhan had fallen prey to the crocodile when he had ventured into the deep end of the river while taking a dip on Sunday.

With the help of cops, firefighters and locals had launched a rescue operation. They were pressed into action for a several hours to trace the missing youth. 

It is notable to mention here that this is the breeding season for estuarine crocodiles.
