Angul: Furthering his whirlwind electioneering in view of the two more phases of polling of the ongoing general elections (both Lok Sabha and Assembly seats) in Odisha, BJD supremo-cum-Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today held hectic election campaigns in Angul, Deogarh and Sambalpur districts (under the purview of Dhenkanal and Sambalpur parliamentary constituencies).

Initiating his public meeting at Talcher in Angul district, Naveen trained his gun at BJP mocking, “After the second phase elections, BJP leaders have gone awry? BJP has started smashing EVM? They don’t know to respect law.”

“I’m always with you and keep on in future. The interests of general public are most significant for me. 4.5 crores people of Odisha are my family. I’ll keep on serving you till my last breath. Bless me and cast vote for conch symbol,” he reiterated.

The regional satrap also burst, “The Central Government is earning thousands of crore of rupees from coal royalty, but Odisha is getting pollution and dust in return. Are the big BJP leaders of Odisha resorting to illegal coal trading? MCL and NTPC are earning profit to the tune of thousands of crore of rupees, but no local development. Are the BJP leaders only supporting their contractor friends? Aren’t they neglecting the Odia youths? The displaced persons are also not getting justice. Why are the Odia Union Ministers remaining mum?”

As per the itinerary, the BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister is slated to canvass for votes at Rengali in Kaniha block under Pallahara assembly constituency in Angul district. Chhendipada assembly constituency, Madhapur under Athamallik assembly constituency, Naktideula under Rairakhol assembly constituency in Sambalpur district, Tinkbir under Deogarh assembly constituency, Rengali assembly constituency under Sambalpur parliamentary constituency.

Later in the afternoon, he will embark on a mega road show from Rengali assembly constituency to Sambalpur assembly constituency, including ‘darshan’ of Maa Samaleswari MCL Guest House in Burla and have his night halt there, as per the tentative tour programme.
