Bhubaneswar: In response to BJP’s Odisha poster boy and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s appeal to the people on social media for participating in their recently launched “Jawab Maguchhi Odisha” drive by giving a miss call on the number provided, ruling BJD hit back with a volley of questions and rather demanded replies from BJP.

In the run up to general elections a few months ahead, Pradhan has posted a video on Facebook today morning and has raised several issues along with seeking replies from the BJD-led Odisha Government.

In his media reactions, BJD spokesperson Sasmit Patra retorted, “Actually, Jawab Maguchhi Odisha (Odisha wants to know) from the BJP and Dharmendra Babu. Dharmendra Babu should reply to Odisha on the Ujjwala Yojana implemented here in the State. He used to claim that 30 lakh beneficiaries are here in the State while only 6 lakh beneficiaries are refilling. Why are the 24 lakh beneficiaries unable to refill?”

He added, “When will the Hon’ble Union Minister rid Ujjwala Yojana of the corruption? Odisha wants to know.”

He further burst, “Also Odisha wants to know about BJP’s anti-Odisha stance on the Mahanadi and Polavaram issues. False promise was given on Special Category Status. Odisha also wants to know from BJP. Also wants to know from BJP why the promises made on MSP were not kept.”

“I think BJP has rather been overburdened with a mountain of questions by Odisha to reply. Instead of replying, BJP has started seeking replies which is ridiculous,” the BJD spokesperson lampooned.
