Bhubaneswar: Ruling Biju Janta Dal (BJD) Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Sasmit Patra in strong words condemned Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi’s opinion on government’s much talked 5T policy.

Addressing the media today, the BJD spokesperson accused IAS turned Bharatiya Janta Party-elect (BJP) MP of having an ‘identity crisis’ and ‘oscillating’ between being a former administrator and a politician.

Dr Patra said, “It is my firm belief that a public-oriented policy like 5T will very soon be accepted not only by the BJP-ruled states but also by the government at the centre.”

Previously, on an official visit to Sambalpur, the Bhubaneswar MP had opined that the 5T policy is not innovative.

The people-friendly 5T policy is all about achieving progress through Transparency, Teamwork, Technology, Time and Transformation.

When asked about extracting of misplaced financial aid under KALIA Yojana, he said, “It is an administrative decision. We must wait for the administration to take action which the Government will take. We must not politicize the administrative policies.”

He added that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is taking necessary steps so that the misplaced funds are back to State’s revenue reserve. CM has asked Resident Commissioner, Special Resident Commissioner to follow-up the case.
