Bird Flu Scare Grips Odisha's Angul

Angul: After Puri and Cuttack, bird flu scare has gripped Chhendipada block of Angul district following death of over 50 crows in the area in last two days.

Reportedly, several carcasses of crows had been discovered in the area last month, but they had been buried by police. The recent deaths have panicked the locals, who suspect it a case of bird flu.

On getting information, a team of veterinary officers reached the spot and collected bodies of the dead crows. The carcasses along with their blood samples will be sent for medical test.

Veterinary Surgeon Bikash Behera said the reason behind the deaths can be ascertained after arrival of the reports.
