Bargarh: Barely 24 hours before Bijepur goes for bypoll, political violence has taken place in neighbouring Sohela block in Bargarh district. Minister Sushant Singh's brother and 4 other BJD activists have been critically injured in the attack on their vehicle at Sohela.

It has been reported that at least 20 armed people attacked and fired at the BJD activists. The 4 injured have been admitted to the Burla Medical College.

BJD spokesman Pratap Deb has alleged that this attack has been done by BJP activists under the direction of BJP union minister Dharmendra Pradhan. However BJP has refuted these allegations.

The police have arrested 3 accused in this incident.
