Bhubaneswar: The BJP district president of Bargarh Narayan Sahu has said that he is not resigning from the BJP but has requested the party’s state leadership to relieve him from the district president post so that he can work for the party only as a party worker for the bypoll.

Narayan Sahu had remained absent from the function in Bargarh on Monday where former BJD MLA of Bijepur – Ashok Panigrahi joined the BJP formally. Narayan however told Ommcom News that he could not attend the function because of ill health. Though many political observers are not buying this excuse of Narayan Sahu and opine that Narayan deliberately remained absent from the function because he is not in favour of Ashok Panigrahi being made the MLA candidate for the Bijepur bypoll.
