Bhubaneswar Turns Hottest In Odisha, 8 Cities Record Above 40°C

Bhubaneswar: As heatwave is prevailing over Odisha, the State capital city today turned the hottest among the cities and towns as the mercury of this numero uno smart city touched 43.7 degree Celsius for the first time in the current summer.

As per the IMD, Bhubaneswar recorded 43.7 degrees Celsius while Talcher recorded 43.3 degree Celsius, Angul 42.7 degree Celsius, Titlagarh 42.0 degree Celsius, Cuttack 41.1 degree Celsius, Malkangiri 40.8 degree Celsius, Chandbali 40.5 degree Celsius and Jharsuguda 40.0 degree Celsius.

Likewise temperature above 35 degree Celsius was recorded at 10 places in the State. The lowest temperature of 32.2 degree Celsius has been recorded at Gopalpur.
