Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police has planned elaborate arrangements to ensure fool proof security for the second Make in Odisha conclave scheduled between November 11 and 15 in Bhubaneswar.

The event which will be held at the Janata Maidan will witness a congregation of business tycoons, senior executives of multinationals and dignitaries from India and abroad.

The Twin City police will be on high alert as many VIPs at the Make in Odisha conclave have ‘threats’. Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty today said that the venue will be fortified with a proper security cover from November 9.

Since there is a lot of activity of workers and event management staff at the venue we will mount surveillance and start frisking the visitors (workers) from Friday onwards, he said.

“There are many access routes to the Janata Maidan. DCP (Armed) of the Commissionerate of Police’ 7th Battalion will be in-charge of the overall security of the venue,” Mohanty added.
