Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police have busted a robbery gang with the arrest of three history sheeters from Mancheswar area of the State Capital. The accused have been identified as Jagannath Palei (35) of Aska, Judge Mallick (30) of Baidyanathpur in Ganjam district and Bijay Moharana (33) of Chandaka on outskirts of the City.

The trio was arrested from Bhotapada village between Mancheswar and Barang on Tuesday night when they were planning to commit a robbery in the City. Police have seized a country made pistol, four live ammunition and two motorcycles from their possession. Mancheswar police have booked the three under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.

"Palei is involved seven criminal cases including a murder case in which he was wanted by Nayapalli police. On the other hand Moharana is involved in 16 and Mallick in three criminal cases in different parts of the State," Police Commissioner YB Khurania said.
