Bhubaneswar: The second day of the Bharat Bandh called by ten trade unions was observed peacefully in capital city Bhubaneswar.

Though picketing was done at various places and major highways were blocked, people were seen extending helping hands to those who had to suffer because of the bandh in Bhubaneswar.

The General Secretary of CITU's Bhubaneswar General Committee, Suresh Routray, said, "Our strike has been successful on its second day. People are supporting us against the alleged repressive policies for workers adopted by the Modi government."

Routray further said they are not harassing the public but helping them if they are facing any problem including medical case. We are even arranging for ambulance if needed.
