Bhubaneswar: While a video showing Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu slapping a party worker in the presence of other party leaders and media persons has gone viral, the person who got slapped identified as Sangram Keshari Sahu has vehemently denied the claims.

The video in question is of a programme organised at Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district on Tuesday where Sangram while being felicitated with a towel by Surada MLA Purnachandra Swain snatched the piece of cloth from the legislator and handed it over to the parliamentarian asking him to complete the process.

However, instead of putting the piece of cloth around Sangram's shoulders, Chandra Sekhar slapped him and reprimanded him for his actions. He further handed over the towel to Purnachandra who finished what he had started.

In his reaction Sangram said that the MP is like a big brother to him and has not slapped him but signalled to leave the spot. He further explained that he was not aware about the designation of Purnachandra and had later asked for his apology.
