Bolangir: Puintala Block Development Officer, Saroj Kumar Mishra who was abducted from his office today afternoon by unidentified miscreants has been traced and safe.

According to sources, Mishra showed up at the Sub-Collector's office on his own at around 7:30 pm, six hours after he was abducted.

Police has launched an investigation to ascertain the identity of the accused and motive behind the daring crime which was committed in broad daylight. The police are examining a vital CCTV footage to link the sequence of crime.

Sources have hinted towards the involvement of an 'insider' in the crime. "Bolangir SP K Siva Subramani and the District Collector are engaged in a discussion with Mishra to ascertain the facts," a source informed.
