Puri: Supreme Court appointed Assisting Counsel to the Amicus Curiae on Jagannath Temple reforms, Priya Hingorani visited the pilgrim town on Wednesday. She held discussions with the temple administration and a couple of other stakeholders of the 12th century shrine.

SJTA Chief Administrator, Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra informed that Hingorani held discussions with temple officials. She reviewed relevant documents and proposed to go through additional documents on the Jagannath Temple administrative affairs.

Hingorani will meet senior servitors tomorrow, said sources. The apex court is dealing with a petition which has highlighted difficulties faced by the devotees and other issues pertaining to the Jagannath temple.

"She would submit her report to Amicus curiae Ranjit Kumar who is scheduled to visit Puri on February 22. The Amicus Curiae will meet Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb on February 23,” Mohapatra said.
