Bargarh: Simultaneous raids at four places associated with Assistant Engineer of Water Resources department in Bargarh district, Tankadhar Meher, was conducted by officials of Sambalpur Vigilance Division on Wednesday on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Reportedly a team constituting of Bargarh Vigilance DSP Birendra Kumar Nayak, Rourkela Vigilance DSP Dasarathi Sethi and conducted raids at Meher’s residence at Balaji City in Bargarh, his paternal house at Sargibahal, in-laws’ house at Ghasian in Patnagarh of Balangir district and his Canal Division Office in Bargarh.

Till last reports came in, the total value of assets in possession of Meher is yet to be calculated by the team.
