Bhubaneswar: With growing resentment among BJP activists after announcement of candidates for the ensuing General Elections in Odisha, supporters of leaders who were denied party tickets continued protest in front of the party headquarters here and predicted BJP's defeat if there is no change of candidates.

Supporters of BJP leader Krushna Chandra Panda, who is a ticket aspirant of Aul assembly constituency, protested the candidature of Dola Gobind Nayak stating he is not acceptable by the party activists and general public because of his old age.

They assured the party's victory if it names Panda as its candidate for Aul assembly seat and also promised to garner more support for Kendrapara Lok Sabha candidate Baijayant Panda.

Similary, BJP activists from G. Udayagiri assembly constituency protested the candidature of Archana Pradhan alleging the party has ignored the leaders who had strengthened the organisation from grassroots level.

The BJP is sure to face defeat in the election if it does not change the candidate, they added.

Similary, supporters of Akhila Nayak, ticket aspirant of Patna assembly constituency, ransacked the District BJP office in Keonjhar demanding a change of candidate. They threatened to not let BJP win in the constituency if their demands are not met.
