Bhubaneswar: As soon as star sprinter Dutee Chand won a silver medal in the women’s 100 metre final at the Asian Games at Jakarta on Sunday, best wishes and praises started pouring in.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to twitter to congratulate this Odisha-born. Modi called Chand phenomenally talented on his post.
Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also congratulated Dutee for her splendid performance.

The 22-year-old athlete became the second fastest woman in Asia after she clocked 11.32 seconds to bag the medal. The gold medal went to Edidiong Odiong of Bahrain, who clocked the time of 11.30s.
India is currently placed in the eighth spot in the medal tally with 36 medals including seven gold, 10 silver and 19 bronze medals.
Nine women and three male athletes from Odisha are representing India in Athletics, Hockey, Badminton, Gymnastics and Rowing at the Asian games.
