ASI Trapped By Vigilance While Taking Bribe In Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: Vigilance sleuths arrested the assistant sub-inspector of Khariar police station today after catching him red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 4000 to settle the case.

Reportedly, the complainant in a dispute case wanted the opposite party to be booked anyhow and was following the case rigorously. Instead of attending to his duties, ASI Bijeswar Panda of Khariar police station had demanded bribe of Rs 4000 to settle the case.

Vigilance sleuths caught Panda red-handed in the act and forwarded him to Kalahandi vigilance court, stated reports.
