Mayurbhanj: BJP national president Amit Shah on Saturday, while campaigning for party candidates in Mayurbhanj and Jajpur Lok Sabha constituencies of Odisha, unfolded the election manifesto of his party with special mention to the State.

Highlighting several points in party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’, Shah focused on farmers’ welfare, education, creation of jobs and tribal rights. He announced that if BJP comes to power in Odisha it will provide loans at 0% interest for farmers, Rs 3000 per month pension for small and medium farmers and invest Rs 1 lakh crore for development of irrigation.

Shah also mentioned of providing free education in State-run educational institutions from KG to PG, employment for one person in every family, filling of all vacant posts in the State within two years and facilitating loans of up to Rs 3 lakh at 1 per cent interest rate to youth of the State for self-employment.

He assured that the BJP will strictly implement the Forest Rights Act and ensure that all patta claims of tribal settlers are settled within the next five years and that PESA rules are notified and implemented within three months of coming to power.

Shah further said the party will reimburse the GST collected on Kendu leaves after forming government in Odisha and also promised of inclusion of Ho and Mundari language in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution.
