Bhubaneswar: In a noble move, newly-appointed advisors to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote to the CM stating their motive to simply work as Advisors and relinquish their salary or honorarium.
In a press release, they expressed their thankfulness to the Odisha’s five-time CM for giving them this opportunity and vowed to carry out their responsibilities with full dedication and devotion.
The decision to not seek any financial remuneration speaks of the duty-bound BJD leaders who were selected to play out the role of Advisors to the Chief Minister.
CM Naveen on September 6 had accorded 11 ruling party leaders with the rank of Minister of State (MoS) to six, rank of Chief Secretary to one and that of Principal Secretary to four.
