Abandoned Newborn Boy Rescued In Odisha’s Bolangir

Bolangir: An abandoned newborn baby boy was found on the roadside near Electric Office field in Palace Line area here today morning.

Suspected to have been deserted by his family members in the wee hours, the locals spotted the boy and rescued him in critical condition. They handed him over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).

On intimation, Jajpur police and District Child Protection Unit reached the spot and rushed the baby to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment. The baby’s identity is yet to be ascertained.
