Abandoned Newborn Boy Rescued From Cashew Orchard In Odisha’s Khurda

Khurda: In a shocking incident, a newborn boy was found abandoned in Bajpur-Taraboi road here in the Sadar limits of the district today morning.

According to reports, one Akshay Maharana heard the cries of a baby when he had gone to attend nature’s call. On tracing the sound, he found an abandoned baby body lying unattended in a cashew orchard.

He immediately intimated the locals and the baby was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment. Doctors informed that the baby had been delivered early this morning and was in pink of his health.

Till last reports came in police and officials of Childline were yet to reach the spot.
