Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today appealed to Odia associations to help stranded fellow Odias with food medicine in other parts of the country in view of the nationwide lockdown to check the spread of killer COVID-19.
"Many people from Odisha are stranded in various States and some may be in distress requiring food, medicine etc. Now I request Odia associations in these States to come forward to help the fellow Odias," appealed Patnaik in a video message released to the media today.
"We will reimburse the cost from Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF)," he added.
The Chief Minister has further said that he has requested fellow Chief Ministers of other States yesterday to assist stranded people from Odisha in their respective States through the local administration.
