Bargarh: In continuation with his mega campaign on day two, Biju Janta Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik will interact with Bijepur residents on Friday. He is the star campaigner for BJD’s candidate Rita Sahu.
Odisha’s five-time Chief Minister, on Friday morning, had taken a chopper from Bargarh helipad to Kantabahal in Gaisilat block. As per CM’s official itinerary, he is scheduled to address number of wayside gatherings from his hi-tech bus at Kendubhata Chowk, Gorumunda Chhak, Jagannath Mandir Chhak at Gaisilat, Kandumnunda, Kathaumal, Bad Sahajbal, Jagalpat, Bhangamunda, Dangbahal, Shardhapali, Karanjapali, Kermeli Charchala, Kundakhai and Gunderpali.
At one such gathering, CM Naveen starts with his trademark 'Apana mane khusi ta' and asks the gathered to continue to shower their love on BJD and vote for their candidate Rita Sahu.
Once done with campaigning, BJD chief is supposed to leave Bijepur at 2.15 pm from Gunderpali helipad for Biju Patnaik Airport. He will proceed to Naveen Niwas from there.
Going for polls a third in last 14 months, the election fever has gripped Bijepur with several heavyweight leaders ascending here.
The Assembly constituency of Bijepur is going for by-elections on October 21 which was forced due to CM Naveen Patnaik vacating the seat. He had also contested from Ganjam’s Hinjilicut and won from both the seats and had to vacate one after assuming office.
