Berhampur: A joint force of Mohana police and excise department destroyed ganja cultivation worth staggering Rs 15.3 crores and spread over 76.5 acres near Nijima village of Pindiki panchayat here.

Led by Gajapati Superintendent of Police (SP) Sara Sharma with Mohana Tehsildar Sanghamitra Devi, Mohana Police station In-charge Sujit Nayak and R Udaygiri Excise Department Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Suri, the team on Wednesday raided the cultivation site and burnt it down.

The approximate value of the ganja was about Rs 15 crore 30 lakhs said (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) SDPO Ashok Kumar Mohanty.
