75 Bars Across Odisha To Unanimously Support Decision Of HC Bar Association

Cuttack: Seventy five bar associations across Odisha have agreed to unanimously support the decision of the Orissa High Court Bar Association in regard to continuation of the cease-work stir and further course of action, said president Srikanta Kumar Nayak today.

Representatives of all bar associations, as per a previous proposal, had been called for a discussion to know about their willingness to support the agitation. Representatives of 75 bar associations had showed up in the meeting and submitted their suggestions.

Srikanta said the suggestions will be placed in the general body meeting of the HC Bar Association scheduled to be held at 2 PM tomorrow. Let whatever may be the decision, the bar associations have agreed to support it unanimously.

He further said the process to issue show cause notices to the lawyers who have gone against the HC Bar Association will also be initiated in the general body meeting. The cease-work stir will remain in force till then.
