Bhawanipatna: Six persons of a family including two children were killed after the car they were travelling in collided head on with a truck near Jaring in Kalahandi district on the wee hours of Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Jagannath Behera, Asutosh Behera, Binayak Behera, Nima Behera, one two-month-old and one six-year-old child.

Reportedly, after deboarding a train from Visakhapatnam to Kesinga, they were on their way to their village Khurselguda in Junagarh block of the district when the mishap occurred.

While two of them died on the spot, four others succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at district headquarters hospital (DHH), Bhawanipatna
