5 Killed, Several Injured In Separate Road Mishaps Across Odisha

Jajpur/Dhenkanal/Cuttack: As many as five persons were killed while 14 others sustained injuries in three separate road mishap across the State.

The first incident took place in Jajpur’s Jaraka area near Brahmani bridge when a tourist bus hit a truck from behind. Reportedly, the bus was enroute Puri from Kolkata. While one person was killed on the spot, 13 others were injured and were shifted to Dharamshala Community Health Centre for treatment.

In Dhenkanal’s Sadar area, a tanker and truck collided late last night on NH-55 near Baladiabandh square killing both the drivers on the spot. Meanwhile, the helper was rendered critical and was admitted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment.

Similarly, two persons were killed after a container truck collided with a trawler near Bainchua village on National Highway-16 in Cuttack.
