5 Critical Among 12 Injured In Tourist Bus Accident In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A bus carrying tourists from neighbouring West Bengal hit a lorry near Seragarh tollgate Seragarh-Khandapada road in Balasore district in the wee hours of Saturday.

12 people were injured in this accident out of whom five are critically injured. All of them are under treatment at District Headquarter Hospital (D.H.H ), Balasore.

As per reports, the bus was carrying about 70 people from Hoogly, West Bengal and was on their way to Puri Srimandir. In between 4-4.30 am the bus hit a lorry from behind. The bus driver is said to have fled from the scene.

One of the injured said that there was a dense cloud of fog and they had been repeatedly requesting the driver to go slow but he did not heed their advice and the accident occurred.

The accident is under investigation and the search for the driver is underway.
