3000 Folk Artists Dance Their Way Into Limca Book Of Records In Bargarh

Bargarh: As many as 3000 folk artists performed together in an attempt to lodge a record in the Limca Book of Records.

The super proud event occurred on Sunday during the famous Karamsani festival of the Bargarh district. Coordinated by Guru Rabi Ratan Sahoo, the artists performed a gala dance and music festival at Mahajan Dunguri near Saradhapali village under Gaisilat block.

Present at the celebration was Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) Chairman Subash Chauhan, Bijepur MLA Rita Sahu, Padma Shri Anup Ranjan Pandey and Padampur Sub-Collector Tanmaya Kumar Darwan, among others.

Karamsani festival is performed to appease the goddess of fate Karamseni Devi who bestows children and good crops. It is a popular festival in this section of western Odisha and lasts for several days.
