Odisha: Inebriated Youth Hacks Four To Death In Kalahandi, Surrenders

Kalahandi: A shocking incident unfolded in Palasa-Pipalguda road under Jaipatna block last night as an inebriated youth hacked four persons to death with an axe.

While three of them, Sudar Naik, Linga Naik and Nakul Naik, have been identified as members of a family, the other deceased is Upi Sabar. All of them belong to Palasa village.

On intimation, Jaipatna police station Inspector-In-Charge Susanta Kumar Sahu and Dharmagarh DSP Laxminarayan Panda reached the spot and began a probe into the matter.

Later, the accused Jatindra confessed to his crime and revealed that he was under heavy alcohol influence. Jaipatna police is yet to ascertain the motive behind the crime.
