**Cuttack/Keonjhar: ** Three out of four persons, who got critically injured in a blast furnace mishap at the KJS Ahluwalia sponge plant, succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Cuttack city, according to police.
As a case has been registered in the Rugudi Police Station, three persons have been arrested on the day and forwarded to court.
The three who succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack are Kabuli Dehury of Bedapal village under Ghatagaon PS in Keonjhar, Manik Hembram of Hatnatondang of Chakradharpur in Jharkhand and Biswanath Chater of Haldia village in Mayurbhanj.
The three accused arrested are Jagannath Prasad Sahoo (Asst Manager, Safety), Krushna Chandra Sahoo (HOD, SMS Unit) and G. Srinivas Choudhary (Contractor, SMS Unit). They were all forwarded to court on Thursday (October 19) while the case is under investigation.
Notably, at least 13 workers had been injured as the crucible of KJS Alhuwalia Sponge Iron Plant reportedly exploded on 13th October under Rugudi police limits in Keonjhar district.
