Bhubaneswar: A three day training session will be held soon for the Members of Legislative Assembly, who have been elected for the first time to Vidhan Sabha, informed Odisha Assembly speaker Surya Patro today.

It is notable to mention here that while 60 MLAs have been re-elected, 86 are new faces to the Assembly. “It is important that everybody is well-versed with the rules of the House. The training session will groom the newly-elected MLAs about these procedures. They will also be taught on how raise an issue in the Assembly.”

“The session will be conducted when people from Central Government reach Odisha and assist us with the program. Our senior leaders will also be present to guide the first-timers. I expect everyone to attend the session and I also request them to refer to the books in the Assembly library to gain more in-depth knowledge,” he concluded.
