27 Bonded Labourers Rescued In Odisha's Rayagada

Rayagada: A total of 27 bonded labourers including 25 women were rescued from Rayagada Railway Station on Saturday. 

Reportedly, they were on their way to work in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala when a joint team of RPF and GRP rescued them from Tirupati - Bilaspur Express.

While there are two minor girls among the rescued labourers, five middlemen have also been detained.

GRP informed that out of the 27 few belong to Rayagada district and others are from Kandhamal. They were handed over the Labour department.
