200 More Buses To Ply To Puri During Rath Yatra

Puri: In a bid to make bus services more accessible and frequent during the Rath Yatra this year, the Revenue Divisional Commissioner of Central Division, Anil Kumar Samal today convened a meeting with senior officials of the Transport Department.

It was decided that an additional 150 to 200 buses will be plying to Puri during the Rath Yatra this year. The detail itinerary of all public transport vehicles (existing and additional) will be displayed at four major bus stands of the State – Malatipatapur and Talabani in Puri, Baramunda in Bhubaneswar and Badambadi in Cuttack.

Total eight Transport Department officials have assigned the responsibility to regulate traffic at these bus stands. The revised arrangement will be in place for six days during Rath Yatra – July 3,4,5,11,12 and 13.
