14 Bogies Of Goods Train Derail In Jagatsinghpur Dist

Bhubaneswar: Fourteen bogies of a goods train got derailed near Guali station in Jagatsinghpur district on Friday morning at around 5:55 am. The incident took place between Goraknath- Raghunathpur railway stretch.

The goods train was laden with coal and was heading towards Cuttack from Paradeep. Train services on the line got disrupted while the restoration work of the affected line is expected to be completed by tomorrow.

No casualties has been reported from the spot till now. Relief train of Bhadrak and Khurda junctions pressed into action.

ECoR's Khurda Devision General Manager Umesh Singh has ordered to set up an enquiry committee and submit a detailed report.

This is second such derailment case in a day. Incidentally, Friday morning witnessed another derailment of Vasco Da Gama-Patna Express in Uttar Pradesh in which three passengers were killed while nine others were injured.
