Cuttack: A 13-year-old girl from Khandapada in Nayagarh district was forced to knock the doors of the DG Police’s office here on Thursday after the local police reportedly failed to get the accused arrested.

The girl in question was allegedly gang-raped on January 17 by her uncle and three others. She reported the matter at Khandapada police station. The minor and her relatives said, “Though a week has passed, the culprits are still at large.”

According to the complainant, the incident took place when she had gone into the fields to ease herself. “Spotting her alone, her uncle raped her and then three others joined the man,” the survivor’s relative said.
