110 Gold Biscuits Worth Rs 5 Cr Seized By Central Excise In Rourkela

Rourkela: Central Excise officials on Thursday seized gold biscuits weighing 11 kg from Mumbai-bound Jnaneswari Express between Rajgangpur and Jharsuguda. The Excise sleuths have detained two persons, belonging to Mumbai, in this connection.

As per reports, the sleuths carried out a raid on the train while it was between Rourkela and Jharsuguda and recovered 110 gold bars weighing nearly 12.932 kgs from the possession of two passengers.

The aforementioned persons are reportedly traders from Mumbai. The cost of the gold bars is said to be around Rs 4.99 crore. Both the persons have been detained and further investigation is on.
