Balasore: 11-feet long King Cobra was rescued by Nilagiri Wildlife Warden and his team from a house at Chotakanpur village on Monday night.

As per reports, the snake was spotted by some locals and soon panic gripped the village. They immediately informed forest officials about the matter in order to avoid any untoward incident.

On intimation, officials reached the spot and the reptile was rescued. It was later released into nearby Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary.

It is notable to mention here that snake sightings have increased as it is the breeding season of the reptiles. In several such cases, cobra and its hatchlings have been rescued from houses in different districts across Odisha.
