'Sanja Sakala' Bags Best Tele Film (Education) At Odisha State Film Awards

Bhubaneswar: 'Sanja Sakala', a story based on drug abuse bagged the Best Tele Film (Education) at the prestigious Odisha State Film Awards held here on Saturday.

'Sanja Sakala' is a film about how a character struggles to maintain his family and addiction, day in and day out. The film has beautifully narrated the dreadful impact of drugs in the society.

Produced by Satyakanta Sahoo, the tele film was launched under the banner of Swati Media Entertainment in December 2018.

Manoj Mishra, Mani Bhaktilata, Chintamani, Florence, Subhanshu, Bharat Kumar and Swajala Dash (Child Artist) have acted in the film.

Manas Parida has penned the screenplay and directed 'Sanja Sakala'. Manas is currently working with OMMCOM NEWS at Bhubaneswar as a Senior Producer. "This is my 25th film and I have been committed to projects which carry a message to the society," said Manas after receiving the award.

The ceremony as a two day event during which the 29th State Odia Film Awards and 6th State Odia Tele Awards were organised at the Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar.
