Bhubaneswar: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief and main man behind Chandrayaan-II project- Dr K.Sivan landed in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. He is in the Capital to attend the 8th Convocation Ceremony at the IIT-Bhubaneswar.
Speaking to media persons, the ‘Rocket Man’ pegged the Chandrayaan-II as 98% success. He said, “Sadly, we have failed to have established any communication whatsoever with Lander ‘Vikram’. The project was developed in two parts- Science and Technology. And as per our observation, the project can be termed as being 98% successful.”
Asked about future Chandrayaan project, he said, “We still are under discussions for taking any decisive steps for the future Chandrayaan projects. Our focus as of now is on Gaganyaan; which will be India’s first manned spaceflight programme. ”
Dr Sivan is the Chief Guest at the 8th convocation ceremony of IIT-Bhubaneswar at Argul. The ceremony is set to start at 11 am and will felicitate students with overall best academic performances across several disciplines.
