'Rent A Motorcycle' Initiative To Be Launched In Bhubaneswar On January 9

Bhubaneswar: Smart City Bhubaneswar is getting smarter. A month after the launch of 'Mo Cycle' initiative, a similar facility - 'Rent A Motorcycle' will be launched in the Temple City on Wednesday (January 9).

The initiative is being promoted by the Transport Department of Odisha in association Drop You Bike Rentals, a Kolkata-based private firm.

Regional Transport Officer (Zone-II), Sanjay Kumar Behera said that the modalities for the programme have been finalised.

The users need to deposit a copy of their valid driving license at the counters and fill an online application while hiring the GPS-fitted bikes.

"However, the locations, from where the motorbikes can be taken on rent will be revealed on Wednesday. The two-wheelers will be available at a nominal rent for moving around within the city limits," he said.

Denizens of Bhubaneswar have welcome the intiative which will make commuting hassle free. Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda will launch the initiative from the Driving Test Track here at Chandrasekharpur.
