Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed Commissionerate Police to enquire into the journalist molestation case inside a crowded bus that allegedly took place on Wednesday night near Cuttack.

A team has been formed under Cuttack DCP for the investigation and the bus in which the incident took place has been identified.

Ommcom News had first reported on the incident regarding how a journalist was allegedly molested by a man in a crowded bus and her desperate attempt to report about the incident to all police helpline numbers went unanswered.

Shockingly no one in the bus, which had around 60 passengers, came forward to the girl's rescue.

The victim had given her first reaction to Ommcom News following which all Odia news channels carried the story leading to the Chief Minister's prompt action.

Twin City Police Commissioner Y.B. Khurania informed, “Investigation into the case has progressed much ahead. I hope it will be complete by tomorrow (Saturday). We’ll get a clear picture. Whatever acion will be required, it will be definitely taken. After receiving the enquiry report tomorrow, I’ll give a detailed statement on it.”
