Odisha Joins Nation In Expressing Gratitude To Heroes Of COVID-19 War

Bhubaneswar: People across Odisha came together to join 'Janta Curfew' clapping initiative at 5 pm to express  gratitude towards the Emergency staff working selflessly to counter Coronavirus in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Janta Curfew initiative on Sunday and his appeal to everyone clap at 5 pm to show gratitude to the helpers and medical practitioners who are working relentlessly to fight coronavirus.

Many were seen clapping, beating bongs, cymbals, blowing conches outside their houses. It was a great gesture to appreciate and regard people who are serving us relentlessly in a crisis period.

The atmosphere reverberated with ritualistic sounds and it literally felt like a 'celebration in isolation. People in all towns, cities and villages expressed their solidarity to the brave soldiers of Coronavirus battle.

The ritual started well before 5 pm and continued upto 5:20 pm. The scene was reassuring in the midst of a situation which has bothered the entire world.
