'Asha Kiran' Chief Arrested, Minor Bangladeshi Boy To Record Statement In Court

Bhubaneswar: In a major turn of events in the Bangladeshi minor boy torture case, the statements of the victim will be recorded at a court in Bhubaneswar.

Earlier, on Tuesday evening Asha Kiran chief Hochiminh Sastri and staff of the shelter home, located in Jatni, were arrested by the police for allegedly torturing a minor Bangladeshi boy after a case was registered again him by the District Child Protection Officer.

The minor was unable to walk when he was rescued by the NGO SOCH in Puri. He had levelled serious allegations against the Khordha based NGO "Asha Kiran" stating that they used to torture him and sexually assault some of his fellow inmates.

He is currently undergoing treatment at a discreet place here after preliminary treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital here due to security concerns.
