‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ Reaches All 314 Blocks Of Odisha, Rs 39.53 Cr Sanctioned Today For Rest 8 Blocks In 6 Districts

Bhubaneswar: The ongoing ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ flagship programme of Odisha Government since March 5 last year today completed after covering all the 314 blocks in the State. Last week it had covered 306 blocks.

As per the programme, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs 39.53 crore for executing 1715 projects in 178 Gram Panchayats (GPs) of 8 blocks in 6 districts.

The Blocks are Daspalla in Nayagarh district, Jagatsinghpur Sadar and Nuagaon in Jagatsinghpur district, Lakhanpur in Jharsuguda district, Khaprakhol and Belpada in Balangir district, Balipatna in Khurda district and Gunupur in Rayagada district.

The Chief Minister today sanctioned Rs 4.75 crore for 308 projects to be undertaken in 20 GPs of Daspalla Block while Rs 7.25 crore for 302 projects in 29 GPs of Jagatsinghpur Sadar Block, Rs 4 crore for 154 projects in 16 GPs of Nuagaon Block, Rs 8 crore for 262 projects in 32 GPs of Lakhanpur Block, Rs 3.47 crore for 197 projects in 21 GPs of Khaprakhol Block, Rs 3.86 crore for 162 projects in 25 GPs of Belpada Block, Rs 4 crore for 156 projects in 16 GPs of Balipatna Block and Rs 4.20 crore for 174 projects in 19 GPs of Gunupur Block.

Including today’s programme, the Chief Minister for this year has sanctioned funds on the spot for total 6798 GPs under all the 314 Blocks while Rs 1554 crore has been approved for 62857 rural projects.

In this ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ programme, the Chief Minister directly discussed with the villagers and sanctioned funds for their proposed projects. It is also the best example of the Odisha CM’s 3T mantras of Technology, Team Work and Transparency.

Besides the Council of Ministers, Leader of Opposition, MPs, MLAs, Development Commissioner, Panchayati Raj Department Principal Secretary, concerned District Collectors, elected PRI members and the village people of the concerned blocks were also present.
